Francesco Rodi was born in  Torre S. Susanna — (BR) in 1954.

He soon reveals his interest in painting and at age of thirteen d enters an association of local artists where he learnedthe technique  of oil paints. He attended the Art Institute of Lecce where, besides studying the artistic techniques, he culturally forms himself.

At the end of 1969 he moved to Rome. He workedfor four yearsin a study of restoration of artworks. he discovers the old masters and he was fashinated, but at same time opens to trend and movements that swarmin the Capital in the 70s.

In 1972 he met  Giorgio De Chirico.

Received by the great master in his house in Piazza di Spagna in Rome.   He is enchanted by the pictorial genius of the greatest exponent of the metaphisical school, so as to become in those years a source of inspiration.

From 1974 to 1992 he alongsides the painting activity as a graphic designer.

In late 1992 he moved to Morlupo (Rome) in the city of artist, where he currently lives and works.
